What about the elective modules?

Within the wide range of interdisciplinary courses offered in the Master's program in Cultural Heritage and Cultural Property Protection, each student chooses one of five elective areas after the first semester. The respective elective modules aim to further deepen the methodological and theoretical competencies of the student and allow for a more specific orientation based on the educational background, personal interests, and professional goals of the students.

What should be considered in the course/internship “Language Acquisition/International Component” in Basic Module II?

In this module component, you can gain insights into the work of international organizations and bodies through a short internship, or you can expand your language skills. If you choose the latter option, please note that a language course at the Central Language Laboratory is usually credited with a maximum of 4 ECTS, which means that two courses would need to be completed. Additionally, this module area allows for the recognition of summer schools or similar programs, as well as certified MOOC courses upon agreement.

What do I need to consider regarding my mandatory internship?

The study regulations stipulate that you must complete an eight-week mandatory internship at a cultural heritage protection institution of your choice. You can also split this internship, for example, into two periods of four weeks each. For the internship, you must prepare a 10-page internship report, which includes a description of the visited institution and your activities, concluding with a personal reflection on the internship. You are also welcome to include pictures in the report. If you split your internship, the reports should be shortened accordingly.
